Mamagoto - The Asian extravaganza

A lovely sunday is meant to be spent with delicious food. And when it comes to asian mood, no one can spoil us like Mamagoto do! Recently I have visited with two of my ever hungry friends at the Vasant Kunj Outlet of Mamagoto. The place is not very huge so better to reserve your name on weekends. Cute colorful decors with prompt service by the humble stuffs initiate the lazy sunday meal with some welcome rice crackers and various dips. We had cranberry and watermelon cooler with the appetizers. These two were refreshing drinks which are perfect for summer days. Before coming to the appetizers, let me write about the newly launched meal bowl menu by Mamagoto.

The bowl manifesto menu is inclusive of sumptuous and flavourful Aromatic Rice Meal with Tofu or Fish, 8 Treasure Bowl, in da house cantonese style and Hot China Action. there are eight exciting options to choose from. These Great China Bowls, coupled with some UnbelievaBaos, will part of the summer meals! We had aromatic rice and cantonese style bowl from this menu. aromatic rice with fish bowl - Basa fillets in a home made aromatic chili sauce, served with jasmine fried rice and rocket salad. Apart from the smell, I liked the overall dish in da (canton) house chicken bowl - slow cooked chicken with chives in peppery wine flavours, served with cantonese style vegetables and udon noodles. It is a good meal on its own to share.

Coming to appetizer again, rock shrimp tempura - crisp small shrimp tempura served with home made chilli mayo. A must one to have with drinks. Comes in a plenty of amount som tam salad - raw papaya salad with a tangy thai dressing, good option for to increase the apetite classic chicken wings - wok tossed with a chinese pepper salt seasoning. Imported pork spare ribs - juicy soft smokey glazed pork ribs served with gomai salad with japanese flavours. This is surely recommended for pork lover. I think i ate the whole plate alone! dumplings platter - prawn enoki dumpling, prawn and celery dumpling, lamb roll with pokchoi, chicken and pokchoi dumpling, chicken street style spicy dumpling. Prawn enoki and chicken street style were the best of them.

Mamagoto is amazing when comes to their limited and small but lucrative dessert menu. Nutella baked cheesecake topped with chocolate ganache was an irresistible and rich cake. home made American style chunky caramel sponge cake served with hot toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream is a must one cake here. homemade coconut and palm sugar ice cream is another not to miss dish.
