Chateau means French country house or castle. This word often used to give its name to wine made in its neighbourhood like Château Margaux. The idea of the name is to implement the elegancy and royalness with fine wine and fortress. The owner absolutely successful to establish this concept at the heart of Delhi in the new Mediterranean cuisine restaurant Chateau. Lovely ambience, charming interiors, hanging lighting and specially the location beside a jungle area in Adchini has been created an awesome experience. Coming to food, we have started with two fresh mocktails : strawberry smoothie and a cooler. Could have been little less sweet. From the tapas menu we had Fried Calamari Rings with lemon juice and tangy sweet sauce. Crispy fried calamaris presented in a cocktail glass topped with cherry tomato. It is a recommended dish for seafood lover. This followed by peri peri chicken flatbread topped with gouda cheese. Taste was like a thin crust pizza but not that crispy. It could have been more spicy, just my personal opinion.

Pasta bechamel in creamy cheese sauce with smoked sausage and bacon was the ultiimate dish, a must one for bacon lover. Creamy and cheesy sauce made it to different lover with lots of sausage and bacon. A delicious dish. And last but not the enlish pot roast lamb with garlic and rosemary, mint sauce and roast potatoes was the show stopper of the meal. Soft, juicy and tender meats just melted in mouth. Perfect marination and the sauce was to die for. Its recommended. For the sweet tooth part, the lemon cheese pie was yummy, soft and delicious. We had our dinner at Chateau on a friday night. So luckily we have enjoyed their Karaoke night. The similar kind of looks will remind you about Olive Bar and Kitchen, but here the Mediterranean foods are available for a reasonable price. Its not a fine dine but of course for special occasions and for special friends! Enjoy your time over Chateau!
