Grand Trunk Road a.k.a G.T.Road is one of the longest and oldest major roads in Asia. It runs from Chittagong, Bangladesh through Eastern and Northern India, continues towards Lahore in Pakistan and finally terminates in Kabul, Afghanistan. As the name suggests, Bright hospitality introduces multi cuisine buffet experience for us via The G.T.Road. A huge and vast range of dishes are available for buffet. Signature dishes from the cities through which G.T.Road is passing, are presentated in a royal way.

The interiors have created a look of museum of an old empire. Lot of artifacts and antiques are showing on the wall. Spreaded in two floor, they have a good capacity for seating arrangement. Apart from the main course and Live grill, live chaat section, variety of pickles, salads, murabba, enormous number of desserts and also good number of pachak and sweet and sours masalas are some of the reasons you should visit here.

Music from the coke studio created a elegant ambience and suits the food theme really well. Coming to the food, we started with shikanji, papdi chaat, raj kachori and bhelpuri. All these are in small portion, so no need to worry about feeling your stomach with chaats before coning to the main portion. From the grilled starters, I liked sindhi machli tikka, achari machhi tikka(fish), mutton gilafi seekh, ajwaini jheenga(prawn) and lal murgh tikka. From veg sides, I tasted only the teekha ananas and it was good. Prawns and grilled fish is the must one for this section.

Before coming to the mains I must confess, I loved the achaar and murabbas. Kachey Gosht ki Biryani was good but I expected a lot from Kolkata murgh biryani. Egg, potato and flavor of kewra water was missing. Makhanwala murgh is little different from butter chicken. Its more tangy in taste. Rara Gosht and Murgh shahjahani was good. Machher kalia again could have been better. I would loved it if it was more spicy and thick. Though lot of less spicy food lover will love it cause it is boneless and will taste as a homely version. Just a suggestion to chef use potato, bay leaf, little ghee and mustard oil to make the taste even better.

I was already full to taste assorted breads. May be next time cause they have a variety of breads too. Coming to the dessert section, you will be confused what you will eat leaving which one. Gulab jamun to rosogolla, sondesh (size could have been bigger) to rabri jalebi, Rajbhog to rasmalai, halwa to pantua ( first time in Delhi NCR, I heard the name pantua and I was feeling homesick) you have to taste these all. And kulfi gulkand was the ultimate one. The show stopper.

And what can be better than a meetha pan to end these food riot! Visit G.T.Road for a food extravaganza for a multi cultural experience and that too for a very reasonable price!
