Nosh is a new restaurant opened in Supermart 1, Dlf Phase 4, Gurgaon. In the middle of sea of eateries in the paradise of Supermart 1, this will surely be a next big thing for its vast list of mughlai dishes and its extremely desirable taste of foods! On a lazy saturday I and some of our friends discovered this place located next to Kebab Gali at 1st floor in supermart 1, After entering Nosh with a Josh (Pun intended), I found its ambience extremely family friendly. Cozy, small but heartily open for around 25~30 pax capacity.
Coming to food talk, for appetizers we had; Kakori kebab - Minced meat grilled with a range of Indian seasoning and flavors, cooked perfectly. Soft and juicy! Tandoori butter chicken - Juicy chicken tandoori topped with melted butter, you will find similarity with small street food vendors of Old delhi. Even thinking of it over enthusiastic use of butter get my mouth watering now ! Its a recommended one. Malai Pnaeer Tikka - Delicious malai tikka was mostly tasted by my friends and they found it good! Malai Chicken - Another steller, soft and perfectly cooked.
Main dishes those were another attraction of the show; Sheermaal - sweetened bread probably originated from Persia, first time I ate sheermal in Gurgaon. This is a must one. Hats off to the chef for this one and also Mutton Nihari - another chef special. Slow cooked mutton stew with a lot of traditional spices. Dal Makhani and Kadai Paneer was instant hit among the vegetarian friends. Though I didn't try those as I was waiting for something more big blockbuster. Tawa Changezi - Traditional chicken curry made in tawa style. well cooked filled with spices and nice flavor. Haleem Biryani - This is the another recommended dish. After Kolkata, this is my first try at haleem biryani at Delhi Ncr. Droolworthy. Only thing is they could use longer slender grain aromatic rice, biryani will be much better.
For sweet tooth cravings, we had Paan Kulfi, Shahi Tukda and Phirni. Pan kulfi had literally a pan inside the kulfi. Its a recommended one. Phirni was okeish, I had better in past. It could have been sweeter. For Shahi Tukda, it was little disappointing as it was overcooked and that burnt smell ruined what could have been a star performer.
Overall a good experience. Try out for home delivery and also reach their outlet for each and every dishes. I will recommended Haleem biryani, Sheermaal, Mutton Nihari, Butter Tandoori chicken and paan kulfi ! Last but not the least, great service. Humble stuff and talented chef make Nosh a maast wala must one! Overall verdict - 4/5 Food - 4/5 Ambience - 4/5
Value for money - 4.5/5 Service - 4.5/5 Find out more about this restaurant :-
